ANSEC IA and Outsource Group’s recent merger will mean there is one Northern Ireland technology company specifically for cybersecurity and IT services. This merger will create around 30 roles in the region.

The companies currently have a workforce of 70 individuals and they plan to increase this number to 100 over the next few months. Under the terms of their deal, ANSEC IA, the cybersecurity consultancy company will join Outsource Group, the IT and managed services company. This merger will create one business for IT managed services and cybersecurity. Both companies have ambitious plans in relation to growth and they now hope they can achieve these goals together.

CEO of Outsource Group, Terry Moore has said the merger with ANSEX IA and the impeccable security expertise and skills they bring will enable Outsource Group to achieve their growth plans and provide a market-leading cybersecurity suite of services. He has also said the company has witnessed a massive demand for cybersecurity services as of lately.

The Dublin office will function as their European hub, with finance, accounting, data analytics, and sales teams working here. Since last October, Genesis has already recruited 12 people in Dublin. Their new office will open on May 1st and is situated in the Academy building on Pearse Street.

Billy Morris, Chief Financial Officer at Genesis has said he is excited to expand the company’s engineering team in Ireland. Being from Dublin, he was promoted to this role last year and manages the company’s expansion here.

He has said the company will be hiring for several other roles over the next few years too. Billy also said the company is very impressed with the top-tier talent in Ireland and that he feels as they continue to grow the business, the headcount will also increase.

The news that Genesis is hiring arrives following a $200 million Series C funding round they closed last month. Genesis offers clients in financial markets organisations low-code application development tools. This provides them with a single access point for digital asset derivatives, lending, borrowing, trading, custody as well as brokerage services. Some of their clients include capital market companies like LCH, Citi, and ING as well as a number of major banks.

Genesis has grown rapidly since it was established in 2015 and they have said the current funding will be incredibly useful in assisting with further expansion. They currently employ approximately 200 people worldwide. Genesis has offices in Dún Laoghaire, London, New York, Miami, and Sao Paulo. Further details on their hiring plans can be found on their website. Currently, they are seeking a finance analyst, senior data analyst, and deal desk manager for their Dublin office.

The company has said they will start recruiting for the 40 roles right away. They will initially begin with expanding their sales team.

Their Dublin office will collaborate with their London office to further expand in the EMEA region. They chose Dublin as the location for their new office in Ireland because of its ‘vibrant’ tech scene.

CEO of Conga, Noel Goggin said: “Our investment in Dublin demonstrates our commitment to growing Conga’s presence in the EMEA region. Dublin offers a vibrant talent pool and multilingual professionals that will help our company better serve existing and new customers throughout their digital transformation journeys.
