These are all issues that had such a grip over me for many years, and lead to an over reliance on alcohol and made me very unhappy. When we are living in a low state of wellbeing everything becomes harder, from making friends to career and relationships.
My coaching points to infinite resources that we all have within us of resilience, wisdom and well-being. All of this is already there and waiting to help, the only thing that gets in the way is our thinking. Through conversation and exploration I will help you to recognize that you have all of that you need within you to live a beautiful and happy life.
We have been led to believe that our experience in life comes from our circumstances, but the truth us that our experience comes 100% from our thinking. Imagine if you will, someone is saying unkind things about you which you are completely unaware of. You feel no hurt or betrayal as a result of what they have said, so all is well in your world. Now imagine that you are aware of what has happened. You start having thinking about what was said, what does it mean, is it true, why would they say that. We now start to get unpleasant feelings, but the feelings are all coming from the thinking that we have and not from words that may have been spoken.
Having some understanding around thought and how it creates our experience in life is the first step to seeing what happens when we stop taking our thinking quite so seriously. Trust me, it’s a game changer, I have helped my clients to move from fear to calm in a little as four 30 min sessions!
